Understanding Energy Work
Eastern Medicine sometimes follows The flow of the 5 natural rythymic elements of the earth and the universe. The basic principle of the five elements theory. Each element is generated by another (generation cycle), but also controlled by another one (destruction cycle). Wood generates fire, fire generates earth, earth generates metal, metal generates water and water generates wood, as depicted by the colored curved arrows. Meanwhile, wood controls earth, earth controls water, water controls fire, fire controls metal and metal controls wood, as depicted by the colored T arrows. The interaction between the elements in this network is governed by Yin and Yang symbol to create complete and whole balance in our bodies and the auric field around us daily.
Wood - rising, development (of an action), impulse, expansion, decampment
Fire - embodiement, definition, action, dynamic phase, design
Earth - alteration, transformation, transmutation, change, convertation
Metal - sinking, contraction, declining
Water - contemplation, calmness, (re-)consideration, observation, reflection
Secondly, Yin and Yang are opposing forces that control life, as well as the universe. Yin (feminine Side) mainly influences the physical, material aspect and Yang (Masculine Side) domains the psychological, spiritual aspect of an organism. However, similar to reduction and oxidation, they interact and balance each other. When Yin rises, Yang declines, and when Yin declines, Yang rises. The opposing forces form the vital energy or Qi that circulates in our body. The organs work together by regulating and preserving Qi through the channels called meridians and collaterals. Diseases will happen when the Qi creates disharmony. Eastern type treatments aim to correct the Yin–Yang balance, thus Qi is readjusted and harmony is restored at this point.
Chakras are spinning wheel energy centers or vortexes of light that pulsate and rotate at different frequencies. We have 12 main Chakras, 7 of which are more in alignment with our physical body and are usually the main focus of attention for healing therapies. There are 4 additional Chakras above our head for 5th dimensional free spirit work and 1 below our feet which anchors us to planet Earth, all within our energy field. The 7 main chakras align the medium field or center of our body from the sacram to the crown of the head and are in the colors of the rainbow from the sacrum up starting with red. There are also many much smaller Chakras elsewhere in our energy system.
When light travels at different speeds it is seen as a different color, the faster the light the brighter the color, the slower the frequency of light the darker the color. An example of this can be seen when a rainbow is formed, as the sunlight passes through layers of different density cloud the speed of light slows down producing a range of different colours, bands of lighter colours on the thinner cloud, bands of darker colours on the thicker cloud.
Chakras look like two cones with the points touching, the larger openings being at the front and back of the person. The crown and base chakras are slightly different having one opening pointing up or down respectively. The chakras open or close, spin faster or slower, or even become stagnant and stop all together according to what the person is experiencing or feeling in the now life events of the moment.
Just like when we as humans touch a machine that is hooked up to electric and it can send a shock through our system if it or we are not grounded properly, or when one human touches another and we shock each other, these are energy wave patterns and show that as we are made of spirit and body, we are made up of energy too.
Another modality effective in eastern medicine is looking at a person's Auric Field or Auras. Auras are thought of as the unseen field of energy surrounding a person's physical body. They're affected by our mood and emotional state (and sometimes the states of others), and different colors are associated with different qualities and emotions. The bigger the Aura Field the more difficult for disease and negative things to affect you and the smaller the Aura Field the easier for disease and negative things to affect you.
Our energy levels both physically and mentally can affect our mood, behavior, body, and spiritual awakenings.
